How Alternative Healing Options Can Help Multiple Medical Conditions

How Alternative Healing Options Can Help Multiple Medical Conditions

Modern medicine has come a long way, but alternative healing options still exist. Humanity has become more aware of how valuable many natural healing methods are over the past few decades. They don’t contain chemicals and usually don’t have the same destructive side effects many drugs have. Pulsed electromagnetic field therapy (PEMF) is one alternative method that delivers a therapeutic signal that temporarily increases local blood flow to an area of the body.

What Conditions Can You Treat with PEMF Therapy?

I’ve written previously about what PEMF therapy is and how it helps recharge your system. The method is used by people from all backgrounds and is supported by thousands of clinical trials and scientific studies. It can treat a wide range of conditions, including:

Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD)

Several different conditions fall under this category, including Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis (UC). They are all characterized by chronic inflammation of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. Both Crohn’s and UC are caused by a combination of genetic and environmental factors resulting in problems with the immune system’s response.

Patients typically have higher levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines and nitric oxide, which can both lead to tissue damage. PEMF treats IBD by improving microvascular function and blood flow, which enhances tissue and organ health.

Cerebral Conditions

Traumatic brain injuries, concussions, migraine headaches, strokes, Alzheimer’s, and other types of dementia can all be treated with PEMF therapy. Circulatory dysfunction is linked to many of these conditions, and PEMF therapy optimizes blood circulation and increases perfusion to tissues and organs. This PEMF process delivers oxygen-rich blood to areas, reducing the inflammation that is a prime culprit in PTSD and other neurological conditions.

PEMF also increases serotonin and dopamine to support the brain, improve cognitive function, and reduce stress in patients with Alzheimer’s. Studies also show migraineurs who got 10 to 20 PEMF sessions experienced a significant reduction in days with migraines, duration of migraines, and severity of migraines.

Injuries

From traumatic brain injury to spinal cord injuries, PEMF can also improve depression, boost immunity, and combat auto-immune conditions like fibromyalgia, Lyme disease, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson’s disease. Peripheral neuropathy, osteoarthritis, and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) are examples of some neurological illnesses that benefit from PEMF therapy by reducing the pain and inflammation of damaged nerves and increasing neural microcirculation.

The TakeAway

Whether you’re concerned about aging as healthily as possible, fighting post-Covid syndrome, or suffering from one of the conditions listed above, alternative healing options such as PEMF therapy or stem cell activation can pave your way to better health.
